this has been a very busy week. have helped out a friend who's been very busy and not feeling well with cleaning up her place. also, have organized a guest speaker to come to school in april to talk about the power dynamics of HIV/AIDS. other than that i'm off to work on my millions of assignments

busy as usual doing school stuff. taking on more with the school trainings and i have volunteered to offer anti-homophobia training to planned parenthood and the children's aid society. i must work on designing training workshops specific to their programs.
been helping fellow classmates with stats assignments (and receiving help as well). i guess it would be more accurate to say that we're sharing our abilities so we can all do better.
have edited the 2 papers for one of my friends.

i'm a little more back on track then before. been doing tons more work w/ RYAC and planning the school board training day. the public board will also be sending some delegates. i've been working like crazy on this project the last month (although definately less intensely the first 2 weeks than now). luckily today i finished the mental health section for our training CD-ROM which should be finished by the start of april. we had another planning meeting tonight for 2 hours.
also today i called somerset west community health cdenter and will be donating my old printer to them. i bought a new one so i could print photos and was going to sell the old one. but, despite not being rich i'm certainly not poor and i figured the printer would be better off donated to a low-income person in the city. it makes me feel good to be able to do small acts of kindness.
also today i finished knitting another scarf, this one for pam. since learning to knit, and esp during my breakdown, i've been doing tons of knitting as the constant hand moment has been helpful for my stress. i have started knitting scarves for my friends and loved ones so they can all keep warm. i started another one today but still am not sure who i'll give it to.
also, yesterday i stayed @ pam's house and waiting for a bell technician to come hook up her modem b/c she had to work.

it's been a month since i last updated as i had a nervous breakdown in the beginning of febuary. unfortuntely i have taken a leave of absence from the rape crisis center until school is over. i have done small things here and there for people but other than that i have been missing alot of things. things i have done are: writing informational sections related to health for a queer youth website, helping a friend with formatting some of their school work (help w/ APA specifically), have kept up the weekly discussion groups @ the glbt center, editted 2 papers of a friend of mine, and helped a friend move and clean their new apartment.

let's see....last week i attended the queer discussion group on campus as the glbt center's representative. on saturday campus pride week started and i was the volunteer coordinator for the event which meant signing up volunteers to work at either the door or coatcheck from 8:30pm till 3am.
last night i helped my grrrlfriend go through books and find information relevant to a class presentation she must do on the criminalization of the poor.
the end.

since school has started up again i have done some things. first off, i have done 20 extra hours in shifts at the rape crisis center b/c there has been less than usual coverage on the lines. i have started a womyn's discussion group and facilitated the first group which had 8 ppl attend and went very well. i have learned how to knit and have shown some ppl how to knit (and i'm making things for other ppl.....). i have also gone to ysb to help interview people to serve on our committee which discusses gaps in services to queer youth and works to alleviate those gaps.
